TAKE NOTICE, Planning Commission for the Village of Lawton will hold a public hearing on December 2, 2025, during a regular meeting of the Planning Commission commencing at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall, located in the Village of Lawton at 125 S Main St., Lawton, MI 49065.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment and consider the following proposed ordinance: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP FOR VILLAGE OF LAWTON AS ADOPTED BY ARTICLE 4 SECTION 4.04 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE VILLAGE OF LAWTON BY REZONING THE PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1020 N MAIN STREET.
The proposed ordinance amends the zoning map and rezones approximately 53.59 acres of the real property commonly known as 1020 N Main St. Lawton, MI 49065 (PPN 80-45-700-029-01) from LDR (Low Density Residential) to GBD (General Business District).
Until the close of the public hearing or any adjournment thereof, the proposed ordinance and zoning map may be obtained, inspected, copied, or reviewed at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular hours of operation or by appointment.
